DIY: Handchain

I was tempted to buy a handchain on Etsy when once again I thought; I'll just do it myself. This DIY handchain cost me $12 and took me about 15 minutes to put together. If you're digging this look that you've seen stars like Alicia Keys and Kelly Rowland wearing - here is your chance to rock it yourself.

What you Will Need

  • Gold or silver chain: Walmart $3.50
  • Metal clasps: Walmart $3.50
  • Metal Charm: Walmart $4.50
  • Small pliers (you probably already have a pair at home)

How to do It

Step 1: Measure the chain around your wrist to determine how big you want it. Then, add a metal clasp on the chain that goes around your wrist so you can easily put it on and take it off like a bracelet.

Step 2: From you wrist to your middle finger, measure how long of a chain you will need while taking in to consideration the size of your charm.  I added my charm in the middle of my hand but you can place it at the begining or end.

Step 3: Attach this chain to the other chain that will be going around your wrist (always by opening a chain link with your pliers).

Step 4: Finaly, measure a chain around your middle finger and attach it to the end of the chain.

Step 5: Voila! Enjoy your new DIY handchain!
